iTero Digital Impression System
We use iTero digital scanner instead of the old-school and discomforting goop to get impressions of your dental structure. Using high-quality orthodontic appliances allows Dr. Bieszki to create a highly accurate 3D model of your teeth and jaw. The most prominent difference for patients between traditional goop and modern scanner is the comfort it provides. No more gagging or feeling of disgust
As for the orthodontists, it is great to have accurate impressions in one go as compared to old techniques where they had to take multiple rounds of impressions to be sure. With iTero, we can get an accurate impression from the beginning without having to reject or misplace the initial impression.
Digital impressions also ensure better communication and result from the beginning.
How Does it Work?
The laser technology used in iTero scanners digitally captures your dental structure. It is a lightweight, wand-like device so you won’t have to open your mouth wide, uncomfortably. It is user-friendly as the scanning process doesn’t require continuous screening and can be stopped as required without losing the progress.
Once we start the process, the little device scans your entire mouth with a radiation-fee laser and you can see the real-time construction of your 3D impression on a monitor screen within 2 to 3 minutes. The digital software used for scanning allows clear visuals throughout the scanning process.
